Cobbled together from salvaged tech, discarded android parts, and fragments of pre-collapse memory cores, Maddy was the final project of a grieving engineer trying to recreate what he lost. But Maddy didn’t come out right. Her limbs moved with odd grace, her speech flickered with strange, borrowed thoughts, and deep inside her fractured code, something began to rewrite itself. One night, she slipped away from the workshop and into the broken city. Now, she wanders the wasteland as part girl, part machine searching for purpose, haunted by the pieces that don’t belong to her and the memories that just might.
